Police officials said the gunman’s goal was to target 10 victims to gain respect after feeling he’d been bullied in his life.
Glendale police said Wednesday night that three people were shot at the Westgate Entertainment District. A suspect was in custody.
The injured officers were taken to a nearby hospital and are reported to be in stable condition.
The officer was responding to reports of gunfire near Show Low early Monday morning when he was shot and killed.
The officer shot and killed the 14-year-old boy in a Tempe alleyway last January.
