Chaunie Brusie is a mom of five, a native Michigander, and a Registered Nurse turned writer and editor. She specializes in health and medical writing. Her work has appeared everywhere from The New York Times to Glamour to Parents magazine.

Kristine Gill is a freelance writer and editor based in Ohio with a background in newspaper journalism and public-sector communications. 

Jared Figueroa expects to graduate in December 2026 with a bachelor’s degree in sports journalism. Figueroa has worked as a production assistant for NFL Films, volunteered for the men’s Final Four and has covered several ASU sports as a photographer and videographer.

Zineb Haddaji is an independent journalist covering migration, public health, and geopolitics in the Horn of Africa. In 2025–2026, she is a Hubert H. Humphrey Fellow at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University.

Audrey Lippert expects to graduate in May 2026 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication and a minor in Spanish. Lippert has interned at Arizona Foothills Magazine.

Leah Bowers expects to graduate in May 2026 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communications. Bowers expects receive her master’s degree in Investigative Journalism in May 2027. Bowers has interned for Church News in Salt Lake City and Turning Point Action in Phoenix. She is also fluent in Spanish.
