When it comes to famous people from Arizona, we may overlook those who are found on the popular streaming and content app YouTube.
Turns out, the Grand Canyon State is a place where plenty of people either get their start or move to in order to be in closer proximity to Los Angeles without dealing with all of the hubbub. These content creators range from outdoor enthusiasts to gamers, lifestyle bloggers, reaction channels and more.
Here are some of the top YouTube content creators that either were born and raised in Arizona or now call the great state 48 their home.
Jerry Arizona
If you’re the outdoorsy type — or you’re not and you enjoy living vicariously through others who are — then Jerry Arizona’s YouTube channel may be for you. The content creator and his wife are avid outdoorspeople who frequently go backpacking, hiking and canyoneering and share their film and photography.
Alex Prynkiewixz (FaZe Adapt)
Arizona-based YouTuber Alex Prynkiewixz is better known online as his gaming persona FaZe Adapt and serves as one of the directors of the Call of Duty YouTube channel and gaming organization FaZe Clan. Like the other members of the FaZe group, Prynkiewixz’s YouTube content mostly consists of gaming, vlogging, pranks and reactions.
Kris Lamberson (FaZe Swagg)
Also part of the FaZe Clan is Arizona YouTuber Kris Lamberson who goes by FaZe Swagg (an acronym for Serve Worship And Glorify God, according to his about me section on YouTube) who is a Call of Duty esports player and currently serves as a coach for FaZe Esports.
Keaton Milburn
For thirteen years, ASU alumna and YouTuber Keaton Milburn has been sharing everything to do with lifestyle, beauty, reading and daily vlogs to her 436,000 subscribers. She lets viewers in on personal milestones like getting engaged and mourning the loss of her mother in addition to showcasing moments of everyday life.
Will Humphrey (WillOnAWhim)
He may not call Arizona home these days, but that’s where natural hair care, travel, fitness, fashion and food content creator WillOnAWhim originated. His most recent whimsical adventures include vlogs featuring apartment hunting, moving, trips to IKEA and home decorating.
Jaiden Animations
This YouTuber made their start in Arizona before relocating to California and more recently the Pacific Northwest. Jaiden Animations is a YouTuber and animator best known for her animated story-time content where she covers a variety of topics from personal life experiences to video game stories and more. She has been nominated for six Streamy Award.
James Rallison (TheOdd1sOut)
Born in Chandler, James Rallison — better known as TheOdd1sOut — is a YouTuber, cartoonist, animator, author and voice actor who now calls Glendale, California, his home. He began creating webcomics on Tumblr before moving over to YouTube in 2014, where he would draw animations to go along with his story times, thoughts and opinions.
Shayne Topp (Smosh)
This actor and YouTuber may have been born in Florida and now calls California home, but did you know he grew up in Phoenix and received his undergraduate degree from Arizona State University? Topp is best known for his work on the popular YouTube channel Smosh where he participates in a variety of content from comedy sketches to playing various games with his costars or reading out ridiculous Reddit stories.
Dylan Matthews (Dylan Is In Trouble)
Dylan Matthews is not originally from Arizona but decided to relocate here after living in Wisconsin and briefly trying out Los Angeles. His channel Dylan Is In Trouble focuses on movie and television series commentary where he deep dives into the art of filmmaking while simultaneously cracking jokes. He has another channel called Ooga Booga where he does Reddit readings, gaming playthroughs and recaps of popular reality television shows like “Love Island” and “Temptation Island.”
