Whether you’re seriously searching or just looking for fun, here are some Phoenix rentals that grabbed our attention on Zillow this week.

This section appears in Rent Check PHX, a free biweekly newsletter made for Phoenix renters, written by someone who’s lived it. Sign up here.

Are you looking for a new rental in Phoenix? Or maybe you’re someone who likes to scroll housing listings for fun? Either way, I’m bringing you the highlights of what I’ve seen recently while scrolling Zillow.

Some are more practical, while others may be just for dreaming. But hopefully they’re all at least entertaining to look through.

🏊 If you see yourself spending summer by a pool: This four-bed, two-bath in Ahwatukee has a backyard pool surrounded by protective fencing. The rent of $2,400 a month includes yard and pool service. The home is available on April 18, with a two-year lease preferred. Pets are a “maybe, definitely no on larger animals and/or multiple pets.”

💸 If you want to rent directly from an owner: Something readers have asked me is how to find properties they can rent directly with no property management middlemen, and this listing fits the bill. The four-bed, two-bath house near 35th and Glendale avenues is 1,615 square feet and allows dogs. Rent is $2,200 a month, and tenants are responsible for water, sewer, and trash—but Zillow says these costs are included in the listed rent. The home is available now.

💵 If you’re scouting for under $1,000: This $899 a month two-bed, one-bath is located near 35th and Northern avenues. There’s an additional $40 monthly fee for pest services, air filter delivery, identity theft protection, and a rewards program. The 1,050-square-foot space includes access to a shared garage with a covered parking space. Pets are not allowed.

If you come across any interesting, weird, or surprisingly affordable listings that you think should be featured here, please send them my way at jessicaswarner@couriernewsroom.com!

Listings available as of March 25. I’m not paid to share these listings, but that doesn’t mean I can personally vouch for them. Please do your research before applying and signing a lease.
