Are you looking for a new Phoenix rental? Or maybe you’re someone who likes to scroll housing listings for fun? Either way, I’m bringing you the highlights of what I’ve seen recently while checking out Zillow.
Some are more practical, while others may be just for dreaming. But hopefully they’re all at least entertaining to look through.
🏠 If you want to live in a big historic home: This listing comes from readers Dustin and Adriana, who are part of the Roosevelt Action Association that I profiled in April. They have listed a 1,690-square-foot, two-bed, two-bath on Willetta Street off of Seventh Avenue in downtown Phoenix. The single-level home—built in 1923—is $3,000 a month for a year lease, or $2,900 a month for a two-year lease. There’s also a 576-square-foot guest house that can be rented with the home for $4,650 a month. Adriana notes that she and Dustin live in the neighborhood and take care of tenants’ needs directly, without a property management company in between. The house is available now, and pets are allowed.
🔑 If you want a cross between an apartment complex and a neighborhood: Roma Meadows is a group of single-family homes near Seventh Street and Indian School Road. This 1,409-square-foot unit has three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. It’s listed for $2,430 a month with an offer of one month free for a 13-month lease. The house includes an attached garage, an enclosed patio, and a balcony. It’s available now and pets are allowed.
🏊 If you want to swim right next to Camelback Mountain: This 850-square-foot casita is one of eight units that sit on 4 acres near the base of Camelback. The one-bed, one-bath—built in 1972—includes access to a community pool and is available now for $1,950 a month. It’s unclear if pets are allowed.
