Friday (Aug. 7)
Rush-hour Resistance Bridge Rally at 59th Avenue and Loop 101
(Glendale, 7:30 – 8:30 a.m.)
Maverick Zine will host a morning bridge visibility rally near 59th Avenue and Loop 101 in Glendale.
Sorting Fridays
(Tempe, 2 – 4 p.m.)
ASU Project Humanities volunteers will sort donated clothing and supplies for distribution to people experiencing homelessness.
Pro-Union Rush-hour Resistance Rally in Maryvale
(Phoenix, 5 – 6 p.m.)
Maverick Zine will host a rush-hour visibility rally in Maryvale focused on workers and organized labor.
Saturday (Aug. 8)
NATIVE HEALTH Traditional Garden Workday
(Phoenix, 8 – 10 a.m.)
Volunteers will help maintain a traditional community garden connected to Indigenous health and food access.
ICE Out of Home Depot Phoenix Protest
(Phoenix, 9 – 11 a.m.)
Community members will gather outside the Home Depot on East Thomas Road to call attention to immigration enforcement affecting workers and nearby neighborhoods.
Southwest American Indian 2SLGBTQIA+ Rainbow Gathering
(Phoenix, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.)
Phoenix Indian Center will host a free gathering featuring Two Spirit and Indigiqueer speakers, advocates, health specialists, tribal members, and allies.
Crochet Sleeping Mats for People Sleeping Outdoors
(Mesa, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.)
Humanist Society of Greater Phoenix volunteers will help turn plastic bags into materials used to crochet sleeping mats for people living outdoors.
Monday (Aug. 10)
Rush-hour Resistance Rally at 7th Avenue and Osborn
(Phoenix, 4 – 5:30 p.m.)
Participants will gather near Seventh Avenue and Osborn Road for an afternoon visibility event focused on civic accountability.
Tuesday (Aug. 11)
Rush-hour Resistance Rally at 7th Street and McDowell
(Phoenix, 7:30 – 8:30 a.m.)
Participants will gather near Seventh Street and McDowell Road for a morning visibility event focused on democracy and government accountability.
Wednesday (Aug. 12)
Rush-hour Resistance Rally at the Melrose Rainbow Crosswalk
(Phoenix, 7:30 – 8:30 a.m.)
People will gather near Seventh Avenue and Glenrosa Avenue for a morning visibility event in the Melrose area.
Rush-hour Resistance Rally in Moon Valley
(Phoenix, 7:30 – 8:30 a.m.)
North-central Phoenix residents will meet near Seventh Street and Coral Gables Drive for a neighborhood visibility event.
Planting Solidarity: Paint, Plant and Grow Together
(Phoenix, 6 – 7:30 p.m.)
CAIR-Arizona will host a youth workshop focused on microaggressions, anti-Muslim racism, civil rights, and community connection.
Thursday (Aug. 13)
Rush-hour Resistance Rally at the ICE Field Office
(Phoenix, 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 – 6 p.m.)
Participants will gather near the ICE field office in central Phoenix for morning and afternoon visibility events.
Get the Flock Out of Chandler
(Chandler, 6 – 7 p.m.)
Residents will attend a Chandler City Council meeting focused on the city’s Flock automated license-plate-reader contract.
