Welcome to Rent Check PHX. In today’s issue we’re sharing something exciting: the Rent Check PHX Resource Hub!

I wanted to put all of our guides to renting in one place so you can easily find one when you need it, instead of having to search our whole website.

It also creates a one-stop shop that you can send to any renters who may benefit—I wish I had this when I moved from my ASU dorm into my first apartment!

Side note: The AC in my rental broke again for the second time this year, which meant I had to spend the weekend in a hotel trying to stay cool. That may sound fun, but trust me—it wasn’t glamorous. Has anyone else been struggling with AC this summer? I feel like I can’t be the only one. Let me know!

Since we launched Rent Check PHX newsletter last August, we’ve published dozens of stories on all things renting in Phoenix.

Over time, some of our most useful guides have become buried in the archives. So I created this resource hub to bring them together in one place!

Whether you’re renting in Phoenix now, planning a move, or helping someone who is, this is a great resource to send their way. We’ve got information on finding a new place, avoiding scams, knowing your rights, building community, and more.

🥾 If your perfect day is a hike and a bath: This 2,810-square-foot home is right next to the Deem Hills Recreation Area, which means easy trail access. And for getting clean after a hike, the four-bed, 3.5-bath offers a dreamy soaking tub next to a window. The home is listed for $2,950 a month and has a fenced-in backyard with a grass area, a covered patio, and a two-car garage. Cats and dogs are allowed, and it’s available July 6.

💎 If you want to live the fancy life: For comparison, this house is a little smaller than the previous one at 2,460 square feet, but it’s listed for $4,300 a month. Some of the things it has going for it include a lot with neighbors on only one side, a “gourmet chef’s kitchen,” built-in entertainment shelving in the living room, a backyard pool with a Baja pad, an outdoor kitchen and TV hookup, and access to the community’s fitness center, pool, clubhouse, playgrounds, and more. The home off of Deer Valley Drive and Black Mountain Boulevard accepts up to two pets and is available Aug. 15.

😬 If rent over $4,000 makes you laugh (or cry): Here’s a home that’s over 1,000 square feet and listed for $1,195 a month. The three-bed, one-bath is off of Camelback Road and 40th Avenue. It has two stories, some interesting tiling, a walled outdoor space, and two parking spots. Pets are not allowed, and it’s available now.

Where: Cactus Cloud Cafe, 111 W. Monroe St.
