Arizona woke up to some historic election results today, with what’s looking to be a Democratic trifecta—which means a Democratic majority in the state House and Senate, plus a Democratic governor with Katie Hobbs’ reelection. The last time Arizona saw this was 1966.
This mirrors a blue wave seen across the country, with Democrats winning majorities in the US House and Senate, plus many other state legislatures.
The Copper Courier team worked hard all day to document this election, which included interviewing voters, volunteers, and officials outside of polling stations and attending watch parties to capture reactions as results came in.
