President Donald Trump is heading back to the Valley just as the state is seeing a dramatic uptick in COVID-19 cases.

Trump told White House correspondents on Wednesday that he planned to resume campaigning, which includes a stop in Phoenix — again.

Trump’s last visit was May 8 when he spent the day touring Honeywell and this next visit is planned for June 23. Trump will address a crowd mostly made up of young people and activists, according to Students for Trump at Dream City Church, who is hosting the event.

According to the ad, the rally is “The BIGGEST event for young Americans” featuring the President.

Dream City Church is an Assemblies of God megachurch in Phoenix and describes itself as “shining God’s light and impacting a city.” According to the official website, the church “progressively lives out its mission to reveal Christ to the world by loving people, cultivating community, and inspiring hope.”

The President has reportedly been anxious to get back to holding rallies for his 2020 re-election campaign, which were suddenly put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Besides Arizona, Trump will also reportedly visit Tulsa, Florida, and North Carolina.

Recent polls show the President trailing behind presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden by at least 7 points.

Plans for the President’s upcoming visit come just as the Arizona Department of Health Services asks hospitals to “fully activate” due to a steady climb of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Arizona—over 15,000 of which are in Maricopa County
