The Hermosa Inn

5332 N. Palo Cristi Road in Paradise Valley

The Hermosa Inn is nearly hidden off the road in Paradise Valley, which only adds to the property’s secluded, luxurious feel. Being in a residential neighborhood, the inn is quiet and soothing. Each of the 43 rooms and casitas have a distinctly Southwestern feel that comes complete with wood ceilings, plush leather chairs, and artwork throughout. Each lodging option is outfitted with a single king bed, giving couples plenty of space to cozy up.

The property also has an interesting history. The onsite restaurant Lon’s is named after the artist Alonzo “Lon” Megargee, and the Hermosa Inn was his private property. You can see his influence today as his art is still displayed throughout the property. The restaurant is in keeping with the Southwestern vibes, featuring high, wood-beam ceilings and plush chairs. Food-wise, look forward to fine American fare like braised short ribs and crispy-skin salmon. Lon’s s’mores candy bar—peanut butter mousse, graham crust, toasted marshmallow, and chocolate cremeux—is an upscale take on the classic campfire treat. Couples also can enjoy private dining at the restaurant’s underground wine cellar, or head outside to enjoy the gardens, pool, and outdoor patio that serves up views of Camelback Mountain.
