Superstition Ranch Farmers Market

Superstition Ranch Farmers Market has been in business for over 50 years. They have one location in Mesa and another in Apache Junction.

The Mesa location is closer to the east side of the city, on Main Street between Higley and Greenfield roads.

Keep an eye on their weekly ads and ads for their two- and three-day sales, where you can get eight pounds of strawberries for $5 or 28 pounds of Utah peaches for $28.

This farmers market sells full sacks of New Mexico hatch chilis for $45, or $55 if you want them roasted. That’s over 20 pounds of chilis.

After buying your share of local and regional produce, head to their website’s recipes page to try out things like baked parmesan yellow squash or apple jicama salad.

Power Road Farmers Market

Power Road Farmers Market is in south Mesa, between Elliot and Warner roads. It has also been around for over 50 years.

Every week you can find staples like local fruit and vegetables. In addition, they have local raw milk, honey, salsa, and hot sauces. You can leave Power Road Farmers Market with ingredients for an entire meal made of things grown and made in Arizona.

Grab a bunch of celery for just 75 cents, or a pound of russet potatoes for under 50 cents.

Downtown Mesa Farmers Market

During the summer, the Downtown Mesa Farmers Market takes refuge inside Inspire Farms, a family-run feed shop in downtown Mesa.

Once September rolls around, the farmers market expands outside Inside Farms, hosting dozens of local farmers, bakers, artists, gardeners, florists, and more.

You can find most of their vendors here. At the Downtown Mesa Farmers Market you can find a farm cooperative, local honey made from local bees, and several hot food vendors.

Eastmark Farmers Market

Eastmark Farmers Market is a great place to drop by if you live in the south part of theValley, closer to Queen Creek or San Tan Valley. It’s just east of Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport on Ray Road.

“Since opening its doors with roughly 12 vendors, this market has grown quickly in both size and popularity,” the farmers market states on its website.

“It now draws dozens of vendors, who sell everything from fresh produce, salsa, baked goods, and popcorn, to local handmade candles, arts and crafts, clothing, and so much more.”

The market is in Eastmark Great Park. It was hosted every other week during the hottest months of summer, but will resume as a weekly event starting in September.
