Pride Month comes around every June, and Arizona is celebrating in plenty of big ways in 2024. From major sporting events to festivals galore, here’s how to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community across the Grand Canyon State.
Please note that some major Tucson and Phoenix Pride events will take place in the fall.
Downtown Tempe Pride Party
Where: Centerpoint Plaza in downtown Tempe
When: June 1, 7 to 11 p.m.
Downtown Tempe is getting down in the name of pride on June 1. Enjoy music from three different DJs along with food, beer, wine, and a market at the Downtown Tempe Pride Party. Expect a lively and fun time. Learn more about this event here.
There will be an after-party at Skyskill Rooftop Lounge from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Enjoy drag performances, DJs, Pride cocktails, and even something called a glitter bar.
Downtown Tempe is also selling Pride shirts, and you can get yours here! Five dollars from every purchase supports Mulligan’s Manor, a nonprofit serving LGBTQIA+ youth in Tempe.
ONE Night Only
Where: Republic National Distributing Company: 402 S. 54th Place, Phoenix, AZ 85034
When: June 8, 6 – 10 p.m.
Cost: Ticket prices start at $100
One Night Only is a fundraiser that benefits the work of the One Community Foundation. One Community is an organization that helps “businesses implement inclusive practices and shift company culture through our workplace inclusion summits.” Attendees can enjoy dancing to a live band, free drinks, and appetizers and silent auction items. Voices of the Desert LGBTQs The Musical
When: June 7 to 9
Where: Phoenix Center for the Arts Third Street Theater: 1202 N. 3rd St. in Phoenix
Cost: Tickets cost $20 in advance; $25 at the door
Performer Robin Banks will perform a musical exploration of the gay community that aims to be both heartfelt and humorous. A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Queer Center. For more information, click here.
Bisbee Pride
When: June 14 to 16
Where: various locations in Bisbee
Southern Arizona’s Bisbee is celebrating 20 years of Pride with plenty of events and celebrations. Here are some event highlights:
June 15: A drag story hour is scheduled to take place at the Copper Queen Public Library from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Attendees can watch a Pride parade that will wind through Old Town Bisbee. In the evening, there will even be a lingerie pub crawl from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The parade will be followed by an open-air festival featuring vendors and entertainment.
June 16: Pride will be hosting drag bingo, mud wrestling, and a tea dance.
June 16 and 17: Attendees can attend a Pride Village featuring food, merchandise vendors, and political groups.
June 17: A feline fashion show and a doggy drag show are also slated to happen at Goar Park. For more information, click here.
Arizona Diamondbacks Pride Night Special Event
When: June 14, 6:40 p.m.
Where: Chase Field
Cost: Ticket prices start at $75 each
Major League Baseball’s Arizona Diamondbacks will take on the White Sox at the 7th annual D-Backs Pride Night. A special event ticket must be purchased to attend the Pride event. This ticket includes a reversible rainbow D-Backs branded bucket hat and a pregame rainbow walk around the field. For more information, click here.
Flagstaff Pride Parade
When: June 15, 10 a.m.
Where: Downtown Flagstaff, starts at East Elm. Avenue and North Beaver Street
Flagstaff’s second annual pride parade will be a colorful celebration of the LGBTQIA+ population. According to an Instagram post on Flagstaff Pride’s page, grand marshals for this special occasion are Mayor Becky Daggett and Coconino County Supervisor Patrice Horstman. Pride in the Pines in Flagstaff
Where: Thorpe Park, 560 N. Thorpe Road in Flagstaff
When: June 15, noon to 10 p.m.
Cost: General admission tickets cost $25
Flagstaff’s Pride in the Pines has been going strong for 28 years in Northern Arizona. At this family-friendly event, guests can enjoy plenty of live performances and food vendors. Past contestants on RuPaul’s “Drag Race” TV show will make an appearance. This year’s theme is “Iconically You!” For more information, click here.
Phoenix Mercury Pride Day
When: June 16 at noon
Where: Footprint Center in downtown Phoenix
Cost: As of press time, ticket prices start at $23
The WBNA’s Phoenix Mercury will tip off against the Seattle Storm as part of a Pride Day celebration. You can purchase tickets on Ticketmaster.
Phoenix Rising Pride Night
When: June 22, 7:30 p.m.
Where: Phoenix Rising Stadium in Phoenix

Pride in Your Health
When: June 27, 3 to 7 p.m.
Where: The Parsons Center for Health and Wellness: 1101 N. Central Avenue in Phoenix
The Southwest Center is celebrating Pride Month on National HIV Testing Day to celebrate health, unity, and empowerment. On June 27, attendees can check out goods from local vendors and artists, take home one free book from the LGBTQ plus library collection, learn more health resources, get free HIV testing and review HIV care plans.
