Thousands of people marched in a May Day rally from the Arizona State Capitol to the Sandra Day O’Connor United States Courthouse in downtown Phoenix, marking opposition to Trump administration policies negatively affecting workers and his actions against minority groups.

The peaceful march, planned on May Day—or International Workers Day, a day historically used to advocate for worker rights—also drew support for immigrant rights, union jobs, public schools, equal rights, the climate, and other progressive issues.

It was just one of over 100 marches organized on a “National Day of Action” in opposition to President Donald Trump and his policies affecting working people. Speakers from various organizations rallied the crowd alongside Democratic state lawmakers and Phoenix councilmembers.
