Today I’ll be talking about a cool local business I’ve had my eye on for a while: the Queen B Vinyl Cafe in Cottonwood.
Maynard James Keenan, frontman of the band Tool, already has his hand in multiple wine-related businesses in the city outside of Sedona, including Caduceus Cellars, Merkin Vineyards, Four 8 Wineworks. Oh, and he also sells gelato, sometimes incorporating his wines.
But last year, he opened this new venture, which sells records, coffee, and rare releases from Keenan’s bands (which also include Puscifer and A Perfect Circle). It also houses a barber shop and seamstress.
The spot is hosting a Record Store Day event on Black Friday. Its calendar also includes an album release party, a brunch DJ set, and live music and poetry.
The store brings an awesome, lively energy to Cottonwood, and I recommend a stop in if you’re ever in town for wine tasting—which is what I was doing! More on that to come. 🙂
