Guy Fieri has once again brought his hit Food Network show, “Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives: Triple D Nation”, to Arizona. This time, he stopped at Tacos Chiwas, one of the most popular Mexican restaurants in the Valley.
Tacos Chiwas shared the news in an Instagram post, which also featured a photo of owners Armando Hernandez and Nadia Holguin holding their baby while in conversation with Fieri inside the restaurant.
“Triple D Nation” revisits restaurants that were previously featured on “Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives” to see how the businesses are doing now.
“The show really helped us a lot when we had been open not even a full year, when we filmed the original one,” Hernandez told The Republic. “You know, when you have no money to do marketing… we barely even had any type of social media presence. For us, it was a blessing. We wanted to show some gratitude to them because it was something really important and pivotal to the beginning of our career as owners.”
Hernandez told The Republic that the episode was filmed 18 months to two years ago, and that their child pictured in the Instagram post is a toddler now.
How to watch Tacos Chiwas on “Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives”
The Tacos Chiwas episode of “Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives: Triple D Nation” is scheduled to premiere on Food Network on Dec. 5 at 10 p.m. MST.
