A weekly roundup of Arizona political events, protests, advocacy opportunities, and ways to take action statewide from Friday, Feb. 27, through Thursday, March 5.

Want to get involved this week? You can attend ICE detention protests in Surprise and north Phoenix, join roadside visibility actions in Marana and Scottsdale, take part in voter outreach and postcard-writing events, and participate in community gatherings in Yuma. 

Here’s our weekly round-up of upcoming events and actions:

Friday (March 6)

UnSeat Ciscomani “MAGA Shave” Volunteers
(Marana, 7:30-9 a.m.)
Indivisible Arizona is hosting a roadside visibility action near North Thornydale Road and West Costco Drive.

East Valley LUCHAdores Meeting
(Private location, 5:30-7:30 p.m.)
LUCHA is hosting a Friday meeting for community members to connect and plan local advocacy work.

Saturday (March 7)

LD2 Community Canvass – State Legislature Candidates
(Private location, 9-11 a.m.)
LD2 Democrats will canvass and collect signatures to support 2026 legislative candidates.

“We the People” Artbeat ICE Out Rally and Food Drive
(Tempe, 9:30-11:30 a.m.)
Tempe Rising Indivisible will gather at Cole Park and the Tempe Pedestrian Bridge for a rally and food drive.

Sunday (March 8)

Northeast Valley CAT Chat (Virtual)
(6-6:45 p.m.)
Save Our Schools Arizona hosts a weekly virtual meeting for public education supporters in the Scottsdale area.

ICE OUT FOR GOOD – People Over Policies
(Phoenix, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.)
Anthem Indivisible Arizona will hold a visibility rally on the Carefree Highway overpass near Interstate 17.

Cottonwood Corner Sunday Protests
(Cottonwood, 2-4 p.m.)
Camp Verde Indivisible is hosting a weekly peaceful protest at Arizona 89A and Arizona 260.

Ajo International Women’s Day Rally
(Ajo, 10-11 a.m.)
Community members plan to gather at Memory Park in Ajo for an International Women’s Day rally focused on solidarity and civic engagement.

Tucson4Women International Women’s Day March
(Tucson, 2 p.m.)
Organizers will gather on Congress Street in front of the Federal Building before marching through downtown Tucson. The event is described as a peaceful and lawful demonstration centered on justice, human dignity, immigration policy, and women’s rights.

Monday (March 9)

AZ-01 Action: ICE OUTside of Schweikert’s Office
(Scottsdale, 8-9 a.m.)
MoveOn is organizing a weekly visibility event outside the office of US Rep. David Schweikert.

Tuesday (March 10)

RAZE Turns Six!
(Coolidge, 4-7 p.m.)
Rural Arizona Engagement is hosting a community event marking its sixth anniversary.

Wednesday (March 11)

Postcards with Purpose: Defend Abortion Access – Phoenix (31st Avenue and Bethany)
(Private location, 6 p.m.)
Healthcare Rising Arizona is hosting a postcard-writing event focused on defending abortion access.

Thursday (March 12)

Coffee and Chat with Honest Arizona
(Tucson, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.)
Honest Arizona hosts weekly meetups at a local coffee shop. Location details are shared after registration.

Day of Service: Providing Meals for the Homeless
(Yuma area, 4:45-6:45 p.m.)
Rural Arizona Engagement is organizing a service event to distribute meals and supplies.

RAZE Leaders 2.0 SLHS: Credit, Budget, and Student Bank Accounts Workshop
(Gadsden, 5-6:30 p.m.)
Rural Arizona Engagement is hosting a community learning event at the San Luis Library.

What’s Next? A Conversation on How to Get Involved

Feminist Generation’s Arizona chapter is hosting a community discussion at Bottle and Bean.
