8 Pet-Friendly Hiking Spots in the Greater Phoenix Area

By Sarah Bergner

October 21, 2021

What’s a hike without your furry best friend? Head to these regional spots for dog-friendly fun.

The temperatures are finally dropping in the Valley—which means it’s time to enjoy some of Arizona’s premier hiking spots.

First things first: Before you get in the car, make sure to pack plenty of food and water for both you and your dog. Grab some booties for their paws, check the temperature of your destination—it’s illegal to hike with your pup when the temperature is over 100 degrees —and pack a first aid kit!

Need help finding your next hiking destination? The Copper Courier has compiled a list of pet-friendly trails where you can get some exercise while enjoying the beautiful scenery.
