The metro Phoenix area is home to one of the hottest ZIP codes to move to in the country, according to a new report. And they’re not talking about the weather.
MovingPlace, a moving services company analyzed over 6 million moves booked through Porch Group, a company that provides home-selling and moving services. The report found that the most moves were to suburban areas on the outskirts of major cities.
“Most of the fastest-growing ZIP codes appear not in the heart of cities but just outside of them,” the study stated. “These suburban communities offer more space, newer homes, and better affordability, exactly what many movers are seeking today.”

Six out of the 10 ZIP codes were in Texas. However, one Arizona ZIP code made the list. Here’s where.
Where are the most people moving to in Arizona?
A Queen Creek ZIP code, 85142, came in at No. 6 on the list, with 3,059 moves booked with Porch Group between January and May 2025.
Queen Creek is one of the fastest growing cities in Arizona. Between 2023 and 2024, it grew by 6,286 people — more people than every Arizona city except Phoenix and Surprise.
“Its growth is fueled by affordable housing relative to Phoenix proper and access to sunny weather and outdoor activities,” the report stated.
The most popular ZIP code in the country, according to the study, is in Cypress, Texas, a suburb of Houston.
How were these popular ZIP codes identified?
MovingPlace used data from Porch Group, which provides home-selling and home-improvement services. They used the origin and destination of over 6 million moves to calculate the top 10 most popular ZIP codes to move to.
