Whether you’re seriously searching or just looking for fun, here are some Phoenix rentals that grabbed our attention this week.

This section appears in Rent Check PHX, a free biweekly newsletter made for Phoenix renters, written by someone who’s lived it. Sign up here.

Are you looking for a new rental in Phoenix? Or maybe you’re someone who likes to scroll housing listings for fun? Either way, I’m bringing you the highlights of what I’ve seen recently while scrolling Zillow.

Some are more practical, while others may be just for dreaming. But hopefully they’re all at least entertaining to look through.

📖 If you dream of a reading nook: I don’t come across many Phoenix homes with nooks, but this house has a cute one right next to the front door. I can’t tell if the wood underneath it is big enough to sit on, but even if it isn’t, the area makes for a cool, sunny hangout spot. This three-bed, two-bath is 1,615 square feet and located near Bell Road and Seventh Avenue. It’s listed for $2,650 a month, and small dogs are allowed.

🍃 If you want something small and sweet: This cute, mint green unit off 10th and Roosevelt streets is 645 square feet and listed for $745 a month. It was built in 1930, has one bedroom and one bathroom, and offers in-garage laundry. The listing does not include information about pets.

🏠 If you believe in going big and going home: This 3,771-square-foot house near Baseline Road and 27th Avenue has five bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms—and it’s just under $3,000 a month. Amenities include a walk-in closet, two suites with private bathrooms, a soaking tub, a new irrigation system, a backyard turf pad, and a covered patio. Pets are not allowed.

🪭 If you want your house to feel like a retreat: This big, airy home off of Peoria Avenue and Seventh Street may make you feel like you’re on vacation. It offers vaulted ceilings, a built-in wine fridge, skylights, a balcony, a covered patio, a fire pit, and a backyard pool. The five-bed, four-bath is 2,818 square feet and listed for $3,850 a month. It’s available March 1, and cats and small dogs are allowed.

If you come across any interesting, weird, or surprisingly affordable listings that you think should be featured here, please send them my way at [email protected]!

Listings available as of Feb. 11. I’m not paid to share these listings, but that doesn’t mean I can personally vouch for them. Please do your research before applying and signing a lease!
