Explore seven luxurious apartment complexes in Phoenix that feature rooftop pools as well as other marvelous amenities.
Luxury apartment complexes are all the rage in Phoenix these days. New build near you? Chances are high that it’s a luxury apartment building.
These brand-new communities also typically feature a slew of high-end amenities. Think dog spas, clubhouses, a coworking lounge, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and a coffee shop. Many of these hip complexes also have rooftop pools.
In the summer in Phoenix, the pool is the place to be. It’s where you can hang out, cool off, and bask in the Arizona sun (with sunscreen on, of course) while you chat with your neighbors. Here are seven of the best apartment complexes in Phoenix with rooftop pools. Dive in!
1. AVE Phoenix Sky
AVE has three locations in metro Phoenix, but only the downtown location (with 17 floors) has a resort-style rooftop pool. Guests can literally soak in the pool while simultaneously soaking up views of downtown. Loungers surround the pool, allowing guests to dry off and relax. The pool area is also outfitted with a hot tub and grilling stations.
The list of additional amenities at this luxe apartment complex is long. They include a dog wash spa, a 24/7 fitness center with large windows that showcase city views, a social lounge, a clubhouse, and a flex workspace.

2. Optima Kierland
Just a few steps from one of Scottsdale’s bustling shopping districts—Kierland Commons—lies Optima Kierland. Optima is an award-winning brand known for its striking architecture and has over 40 communities in both Arizona and Illinois.
The heated rooftop pool on the property’s so-called Sky Deck is one of the complex’s top amenities. The name of the property is even on the floor of the pool and can be seen through the water. When guests are enjoying the cool water, they can also take in views of the McDowell Mountains and North Scottsdale. The Sky Deck also features a hot tub, a fire pit, grills, a garden, and a covered seating area with large flat-panel televisions.
Another top amenity here? A glass-enclosed sauna that also features sweeping views of the area. Get in your daily walk or jog on the track. One thing’s for sure: It would be tough to top all of these amenities that this rooftop has to offer.
3. Moontower Phoenix
Located in downtown Phoenix just a few blocks from the Arizona Center, the ultra-modern Moontower boasts 326 units and features a café called Daydreamer, coworking spaces, a pet spa, a ninth-floor outdoor terrace and a fitness center on that same floor, a dedicated parking garage, and a rooftop pool on its 24th floor, the highest of them all.
The rooftop pool features plush loungers, trees that provide shade, a hot tub, and grills with seating nearby, perfect for when residents want to host a party. From the pool, residents can enjoy views of Camelback Mountain along with plenty of downtown’s towering buildings. As if the pool wasn’t enough, the rooftop floor also features a dedicated yoga room with city views, two saunas, and a clubhouse outfitted with a chef’s kitchen.

4. Oliv Tempe
The trendy Oliv Tempe, located just off Tempe’s bustling Mill Avenue, features a sundeck outfitted with a pool and a hot tub that offers views of downtown Tempe. The pool’s amenities include an outdoor dining area, a grill area, and built-in lounge seating.
The 23-story building has a unique focus on sustainability, which is evident in its decor. The roof deck features a few plants, the property features native landscaping, and the lobby includes plant décor throughout. Inside the apartments, residents can utilize Energy Star appliances, energy-efficient windows, and high-efficiency, low-flow fixtures. Additional amenities include a fitness center, a yoga room, meeting rooms, and an indoor/outdoor workspace.
5. Atmosphere Tempe
Take the elevator to the 20th floor of Atmosphere Tempe to find the apartment community’s sundeck, which features an outdoor pool and hot tub. Atmosphere’s pool provides plenty of lounge chairs and a covered area when you need a break from the blistering Arizona sun. That same floor also features grilling stations in addition to seating in front of a large television. Hanging outdoor lights add ambience when the sun has gone down.
Located near ASU, Atmosphere also offers a 24-hour fitness center, private study lounges, and a coffee bar in the lobby.
6. The Halsten at Chancey Lane
The Halsten at Chancey Lane is situated in a swanky area of North Scottsdale. Want proof? It’s near Mercedes-Benz, Land Rover, and BMW dealerships. The property is also within walking distance of deep-dish pizza chain Lou Malnati’s and hip speakeasy Tell Your Friends. Given its location in a tony part of town, it makes total sense that the community would feature a luxe, resort-style pool.
For starters, the views from the pool of the nearby area and mountains are stunning. There are also fountains that shoot out arches of water for a decorative effect, along with loungers, so residents can really relax. Additional community amenities include a pet spa, a dog park, grilling areas, and a clubhouse.
The Halsten is managed by Mark-Taylor, a local company that’s notable for its high-end apartment communities.

7. CityScape Residences
Another community managed by Mark-Taylor, CityScape Residences in downtown Phoenix is a contemporary, luxe apartment community. CityScape is in the heart of downtown and is within walking distance of the PHX Arena and Chase Field.
The posh property also includes a resort-style rooftop pool. The most stunning feature? The sweeping views of downtown. Besides those stunning vistas, the pool floor also features lounge chairs, a colorful mural along one wall, and a few tables and chairs, allowing you to socialize with other residents. The open-air pool is also partially covered by a ceiling, so you don’t have to fry in the hot Arizona sun.
The complex also offers a community room, a fitness center, and a hotel-style lobby front desk.
