The news of Salad and Go’s bankruptcy and closure has sent shockwaves through local fans this week.
The company, which was founded in 2013 in Gilbert, built a cult following over the years for its affordable, healthy food served via drive-thru.

The husband-and-wife team that started the chain sold it to private equity in 2021, which moved the headquarters to Texas.
The company announced it was filing for bankruptcy on Aug. 4, with every store’s last day being Aug. 5.
One of my friends unfortunately purchased Salad and Go gift cards the morning before the announcement, so her partner spent about an hour waiting in the drive-thru line the next day to spend them. That’s how I got my last Salad and Go BBQ Ranch salad, which was fresh and tasty.
Shortly after the announcement, a coffee chain announced it is buying Salad and Go’s assets. Which one is it?

“I started working the elections in Maricopa County to ‘do my bit’ regarding misinformation from the Trump administration. What an eye opener! The double and triple checks at the polls, let alone the record checking downtown put aside any of my doubts that there was widespread fraud.
“The crews I’ve worked with have a high degree of integrity and wish to protect the reputation of our elections. They are helpful, experienced and well-informed. Anyone handling materials must have a person of the opposite party working with them. There is chain of custody when materials are moved from election sites to processing sites. One person who had an agenda (‘to make sure the illegals didn’t vote’) was quickly shut down by the supervisor who emphasized the procedure manual. She never reappeared, in my crews at least.
“Poll workers are needed! If anyone wishes to understand the process of elections, there are paid volunteer positions open. It is an education, and fulfilling temporary work. Go to https://elections.maricopa.gov/ for additional information. I hope to see you there!”
