When it’s over 100 degrees, what else is there to do other than go out for ice cream?
I wrote about Salt & Straw last week, and this week I’m talking about Bake the Cookie Shoppe in Tempe.
After my friend saw an Instagram Reel about Bake’s scoopable cookie bowls, we made a date to go split one.

The bowl comes with two cookie scoops (soft, melty cookie, like a pizookie), soft serve, and a topping. It is definitely pricey at $17 … but at least it was delicious.
The shop also sells cookies, brownies, sticky rice bowls, and lots of Dubai chocolate treats.

Another day, another tariff.
Last week, President Donald Trump announced new 50% tariffs on Canadian imports that will take effect Aug. 19.

It’s hard to say exactly what impact this will have before then. US importers generally pay the tariff (not Canada), and they can pass the added cost onto consumers.
Common imports from Canada include wood, aluminum, rubber, cotton, carpet, and alcoholic beverages.
