As Arizonans gear up for a heated election season, signs increasingly point to a record-breaking number of Latino voters making their way to the ballot box this fall.
As a senator, Kelly has delivered tens of billions of dollars to Arizona, helped enact the most significant federal gun safety law in decades, and secured funding for Arizona’s water infrastructure.
A survey taken in 2020 found that Latino voters identified such issues as the economy, health care, and the COVID-19 pandemic as “very important” to their vote.
The organization said that Lopez's candidacy is viewed as an opportunity to mobilize Latinos to vote for Democratic candidates up and down the ballot.
“This feels like looking at all of the hard work we’ve been able to do over the past 15 years, looking at real change, looking at real power."
Over one million absentee ballots were mailed in Maricopa County, and elections officials have devised many ways for voters to safely cast their ballots.
