Are you looking for a new rental in Phoenix? Or maybe you’re someone who likes to scroll housing listings for fun? Either way, I’m bringing you the highlights of what I’ve seen while scrolling through Zillow.
Some are more practical, while others may be just for dreaming. But hopefully they’re all at least fun to look through.
🖼️ If you like your walls brightened with art: I love highlighting rentals with murals. This 1,028-square-foot home off of Jefferson Street and 19th Avenue has four of them that I can see in the photos. They all feature cactuses, and three have bright, bold colors, while the one in the bathroom is black and white. The two-bed, one-bath is listed at $1,890 a month and allows cats and dogs. It also has in-unit laundry.
🚪 If you’re OK with a quirky layout: This 900-square-foot two-bed, one-bath is listed at $1,795 a month. The home near 44th Street and McDowell Road has what seems to be an interesting layout, with one photo showing a wall in the middle of a room, to create a sort of hallway, I guess? It’s hard to tell exactly, but it’s definitely unique. The brick home built in the 1950s allows pets and has in-unit laundry.
🎨 If you like your art a little weird: I have to mention this listing because it made me do a double take. What I thought was a large family portrait on the wall is … not that. Take a look for yourself. This 3,118-square-foot-home off 48th Street and Indian School Road is listed for $11,500 a month. The five-bed, three-bath allows cats and dogs, and, as you can probably guess from the price, it offers lots of luxury perks including a built-in grill in the backyard, a detached two-car garage, a spacious front porch, a fenced-in backyard and patio, and a cozy fireplace.
If you come across any drool-worthy, weird, or surprisingly affordable listings that you think should be featured here, please send them my way at [email protected]!
Listings available as of Nov. 25. I’m not paid to share these listings, but that doesn’t mean I can personally vouch for them. Please do your research before applying and signing a lease!
