The S’edav Va’aki Museum is hosting its 23rd annual Ancient Technology Day, offering visitors a unique opportunity to experience hands-on demonstrations of traditional skills and crafts that shaped Arizona’s rich cultural heritage.
Experience ancient technologies firsthand
On Saturday, March 8th, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., visitors can immerse themselves in a variety of interactive demonstrations showcasing the ingenuity of the Ancestral Sonoran Desert People. The event features expert-led stations where guests can try their hand at traditional skills, including:
- Flint knapping
- Atlatl throwing
- Fire making with S.A.L.T.
- Basket weaving
