Brunch is a quintessential weekend ritual no matter where you live. But brunch in Arizona is an experience all to its own. The warm sunshine paired with the relaxed Southwest vibe makes brunch such a lovely experience. Tucson’s brunch spots boast the classics—some with a twist (or in this case, some Southwestern heat).

When our readers were tasked with voting for their favorite brunch spots in Tucson, they showed up and made the hard decisions. And now, we can tell you the top 3 brunch spots in town. We’ve got creative dishes, kitschy decor, and a serene setting for the win.
3. Hacienda del Sol
Our third place winner is Hacienda del Sol. This adorable brunch location is part of a desert retreat that dates back to 1929. The resort is now a guest ranch resort that has welcomed movie stars such as Katharine Hepburn and Clark Gable. The resort fell out of popularity in the fifties, but was revitalized in the 1990s and has been a popping venue ever since. With scenic views, Hacienda del Sol offers a delicious brunch experience in the perfect setting.
Sunday brunch means that you’re surrounded by lush gardens, spectacular mountain views, and amazing architecture. From 10am-2pm, you can enjoy a brunch buffet that features everything from shrimp, to artisanal cheeses, to eggs benedict. You can also get made-to-order omelets and waffles if you’re feeling extra fancy!
Hacienda del Sol is the perfect Sunday experience. You get to pair fine dining with a small little resort daycation. It makes complete sense that this brunch spot is voted one of the best!
2. Blue Willow
Second place goes to Blue Willow, a restaurant and gift shop that’s been serving up breakfast (and lunch and dinner!) for over 45 years. This family-owned restaurant is a favorite brunch spot amongst the Tucson folk, hence its second place slot. Blue Willow boasts house made, from scratch meals—dating all the way back to 1978.
With its quirky, yet homey vibe, Blue Willow is an uncontested favorite to grab shrimp and grits, huevos rancheros, breakfast burritos, or a homemade quiche. The Blue Willow special incorporates eggs, cheese, green chiles, and corn tortillas. Need something sweet? Chow down on Nutella french toast or a cookies & cream pancake. The brunch cocktails are also a hit.
1. Baja Cafe
The uncontested winner for Best Brunch is the Baja Cafe. In 2024, the Baja Cafe was the winner for Best Overall Restaurant. This brunch place’s claim to fame is being home of the snickerdoodle pancake, which makes it an automatic winner for best brunch, right?
With two locations, you have double the opportunity to enjoy brunch with a Southwestern flair. Snickerdoodle pancakes aside, Baja Cafe is also known for their eggs benedicts. With twelve different options, you really can’t go wrong. However, the Brisket Caramelo and Alcatraz tend to be fan-favorites.
However, the Snickerdoodle pancake, the pièce de résistance, combines the classic cookie and the classic pancake and makes something delectable. Perhaps an entire week’s worth of calories in one dish, but no big deal. The pancakes are topped with a light vanilla bean cream cheese glaze, so you might be able to skip the maple syrup (or not—no judgement). And if snickerdoodles aren’t your thing, you can grab a classic buttermilk instead. Still light and fluffy.
Our readers know what’s up, and they know that Baja Cafe is the place to grab the best brunch in Tucson.
