You may have heard about No Kings protests since the first one took place on June 14, 2025.
The events are part of a nationwide movement to push back against the actions of President Donald Trump’s administration and billionaires.
The last one took place on March 28, 2026, with more than 70 protests in Arizona alone.
The next No Kings protest is coming up on Oct. 17, and it will have a focus on voting early in the midterm elections. There are already more than 20 actions planned in Arizona, with likely more to pop up in the coming weeks.
I asked if any of you had attended a past No Kings protest, and here’s what you said:
💬 “We have attended in Dove Mountain. I felt as if we were being seen and heard.” — Frank M.
💬 “Hell no! I wouldn’t attend even if they paid me. I have heard that some do get paid.” — Kelly M.

💬 “YES!! THIS IS WHAT DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE. I attend every protest that I can; I’m a ReSister from his first term and the Women’s March era. No Kings seems more broad-based but just as fun and joyous. The first one I attended at the capitol included men in mocked-up tuxedos and top hats pushing through the crowds proclaiming benefits for billionaires! The signs and cosplay are hilarious and meaningful. These jokes just write themselves. Show up and speak out for hope, joy and The American Way! You won’t be sorry.” — Lori M.

💬 “I find the name odd, but get the sentiment. I attended at the capitol in 2025 & out in N. Scottsdale. Very peaceful, clever signs and costumes and it does feel uniting to come out together with like minded community members who are not happy with the state of our nation.” — Stacie S.
