And submitting it is as easy as signing the envelope and dropping it in my mailbox—you don’t even need to add a stamp!
I’m also signed up for text alerts, which means I get notified when my ballot is received and counted, so I don’t have to worry that it got lost.
If you want voting to be this easy this year, you can sign up for the AEVL or request a one-time early ballot by Friday, Oct. 23. Ballots will be mailed out starting tomorrow, so if you’re already on the list, you should get yours soon.
And if you’d still rather cast your ballot in person, early voting starts tomorrow. You can visit a polling station and skip the Election Day lines—just make sure to bring ID.
No matter how you prefer voting, the important thing is to make a plan now so you don’t miss out on making your voice heard this November.
And if you’re already set? Go you. Forward this to your friend who’s most likely to procrastinate.
