Good morning!

I love where I live, but it’s missing one thing that would make summers a lot easier: a pool.

Earlier this month, I was craving some time in the water, so I looked up some pools that have public access.

The city of Phoenix has 29 pools, but they typically close by 6 p.m., and I wanted to go after the sun was down.

I ended up going to Lylo Swim Club at the Rise Uptown Phoenix hotel. You can book a lounger or daybed on the hotel’s website or through ResortPass.

Prices change by the day, but the lowest I’ve seen is $20 for a patio lounger. There’s also poolside service if you want to order food or drinks.

While it’s too pricey to become a regular habit for me, I enjoyed having at least one night where I could cool off and swim around for a bit.

Arizona’s primary election is over, and now we’re gearing up to vote in the Nov. 3 general election.

Even though we’re not voting for a new president this year, there are still many important elected officials that affect your daily life on the midterm ballot.

Some of Arizona’s races could flip the party majority in Congress and the Arizona Legislature from Republicans to Democrats.

We’ll also be voting for a new governor, state officials, local representatives, school boards, ballot measures, and more.

The deadline to register to vote in the election is Oct. 5—and even if you’re already registered, it’s not a bad idea to check your status and make sure all your information is up to date.
