I don’t find myself in the West Valley very often, but last week I went to Glendale Community College to watch my partner’s former professor play a show.
I enjoyed getting to see some of the campus since the only other community college I’ve visited here is Phoenix College. And after the show, I went to the new downtown Glendale Cornish Pasty, which opened at the beginning of the year.

I had the banoffee pie, which is a delicious combo of graham cracker crust, whipped cream, bananas, and caramel sauce.
This means I have now visited six of Cornish Pasty’s 10 locations—maybe one day I’ll hit all of them!

Starting today, you can check voting off your to-do list! (Jmcanally/Shutterstock)

In honor of National Voter Education Week, we’re running this special section that will help you get ready to vote in the Nov. 3 election.
Today is the start of early voting in Arizona, which means a couple of things:
🗳️ Ballots are mailed out to anyone on the Active Early Voting List (AEVL) or anyone who has requested a mail-in ballot for this election.
If you want to vote by mail this year, you can sign up for the AEVL or request a one-time early ballot by Friday, Oct. 23.
🗳️ In-person early voting begins.
You can visit a polling station and skip the Election Day lines—just make sure to bring ID.
No matter how you like to vote, the important thing is to make a plan now so you don’t miss out on making your voice heard this November!
|
You’re election-ready. 🙌 Now help a friend get there, too—forward this email before Nov. 3.
