Get in line, tech heads — Micro Center will soon open its doors in Arizona.
The popular technology superstore is widely known for carrying a vast variety of computer parts and electronic devices. It markets itself as “tech heaven,” and its customers range from industry professionals and content creators to gamers and computer hobbyists.
CEO Rick Mershad said in a statement that the company is “incredibly excited” to bring its store to the state. It will be located in Phoenix, which he called “a fantastic city for technology and innovation.”
The news comes as the area emerges as the nation’s chip manufacturing hub, and the store’s opening is expected to see large crowds. Here’s what to know.
When does the new store open?
Micro Center is officially opening its doors in Phoenix on Nov. 7.
The retailer is also hosting so-called “VIP Days.” A limited number of customers can sign up to get early access to the new store on Nov. 5 and 6.
What does Micro Center sell?
Officials said the Phoenix store will offer more than 20,000 products.
That includes high-performance computing systems, processing units, computer drives, gaming equipment and other types of hardware.
Can I get my devices repaired there?
Yes. The store will offer the retailer’s signature “knowledge bar,” which provides on-site tech support.
It will offer authorized service for Apple, Dell and HP devices, as well as same-day diagnostics and repairs. Services include virus removal, data recovery, laptop screen replacement and more.
Where is the new Micro Center store located?
The new store is located in Arcadia Crossing, a shopping complex near Thomas Road and 44th Street in Phoenix.
Other anchor tenants include Fry’s Food & Drug, Target, Five Below and Costco Wholesale.
How big is the Micro Center store?
The store spans roughly 35,000 square feet.
How many people will work at Micro Center?
Officials said the store will hire nearly 100 people.
