    Abigail Beck is a reporter covering the environment and public safety. She is also a managing editor of ASU’s award-winning collegiate newspaper, The State Press, has reported for The Arizona Republic, and was selected as a Carnegie-Knight News21 Fellow in 2024.


  • Senator Eva Díaz

    Senator Eva Díaz represents Arizona’s 22nd Legislative District, and is the ranking member of the Arizona Senate Education Committee. Diaz has worked in Arizona’s education system for nearly 30 years, and earned a PhD in Education from Arizona State University.

    News Digital Reporter, Washington, DC Matthew DeWees expects to graduate in spring 2026 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication and a minor in business. DeWees is currently reporting from Washington, DC.


  • Alysa Horton

    News Digital Reporter, Phoenix Alysa Horton is expected to graduate in spring 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a minor in political science. Horton has served as a digital productions intern for The Arizona Republic and an editorial intern for Arizona Foothills Magazine.


  • Daniel Rios

    Sports Digital Reporter, Phoenix Daniel Rios expects to graduate in spring 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in sports journalism. Rios interned with Varsity Sports Show and OC Riptide. He has also written for the Arizona State Press and Walter Cronkite Sports Network.


  • Douglas Santo

    Sports Digital Reporter, Phoenix Douglas Santo expects to graduate in fall 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in sports journalism and a minor in business. Santo has interned as a radio co-host, broadcaster and reporter at Varsity Sports Show and currently works for Sun Devil Daily.


  • Koby Braunstein

    Koby Braunstein expects to graduate in spring 2026 with a bachelor’s degree in sports journalism. Braunstein is a play-by-play broadcaster for the Bristol Blues of the New England Collegiate Baseball League and covers ASU athletics for SB Nation’s House of Sparky.
