Yesterday, we talked about Republicans using custom Cybertrucks to advertise for their political campaigns.
Jay Feely, a former Arizona Cardinals player who is running for the US House in Arizona, has a navy blue one with the license plate “THXELON.”
I asked what you all thought of this marketing strategy, and here’s what you said:
💬 “For certain I am not their target audience. It represents a person (Musk) who I feel is horribly flawed and does not have our countries best interests in mind and is not representative of the values I hold dear. It’s also a ‘look at me’ moment when I’d prefer an action of good deeds, good leadership along with empathy and emotional intelligence.” — Doug T.
💬 “I find it ironic that politicians who don’t support clean power would use an electric vehicle for advertising purposes.” — Diane R.
💬 “Seeing a candidate’s choice for public campaign visuals such as a painted cyber truck makes it so easy to know who NOT to vote for. I don’t have to do any research on what the candidate’s policies and values are because they are in the literal driver’s seat of what they believe in.” — Toni R.
💬 “I guess it’s good marketing, but the last thing we need in Congress is another not serious celebrity sycophant, rubber stamp for Trump.” — Jim M.
