Vacation rentals have been popping up nearly everywhere these days, and Arizona is no exception to the rule. Visitors looking to book one have a large selection to choose from.
We’ve picked out seven vacation rentals with unique features located across the state, from a luxurious mountain cabin in Flagstaff to an expansive man cave in Scottsdale.
Wander Cave Creek
Wander is a company that builds smart vacation rental homes across the United States. The Wander Cave Creek property looks like a home that would be featured in Dwell, with modern architecture and plenty of expansive windows showcasing desert splendor. The three-bedroom, three-bathroom home features amenities like an EV charger, an onsite gym, a sauna, a hot tub, and smart speakers. This property features a patio overlooking the desert that gives people the chance to really soak up the surroundings. The cool, mostly gray palette lends a soothing feel to the expansive space.
A Hilltop Sedona Hideaway
This contemporary Sedona property features five bedrooms and five bathrooms, giving guests the chance to really soak up the city’s spectacular scenery at nearly every turn. Up to 10 people can stay in this picturesque home in northern Arizona. One of the property’s most noteworthy features is the outdoor pool and a Jacuzzi with views of Sedona’s Capitol Butte red-rock formation. Inside, guests can also enjoy red-rock views throughout, courtesy of the expansive floor-to-ceiling windows in the kitchen, living room, and elsewhere. The kitchen is outfitted with marble countertops, a fireplace, and a dining table overlooking the outdoor patio. Another impressive aspect? The outdoor rooftop balcony with more breathtaking red-rock views.
A Luxe, Modern Cabin in Flagstaff
This contemporary, luxe cabin in Flagstaff dubbed the Amberwood Estate is more than 4,000 square feet of beauty. The five-bedroom, five-bathroom property is about a 10-minute drive from downtown Flagstaff, situated in the surrounding Flagstaff forest. The cabin also features high ceilings outfitted with wood panels, windows with forest views, double vanities, a chandelier hanging above the dining table, and a marble kitchen island. The primary bedroom is outfitted with a king canopy bed, private deck, en suite bathroom with a long vanity, and a deep soaking tub. The outdoor decks allow guests to soak up Flagstaff’s forest settings. One deck features a grill, a fireplace, and an outdoor table where guests can enjoy meals al fresco.
The Invisible Home Just Outside Grand Canyon
Located about 30 minutes away from the Grand Canyon in Williams, the Stargazer Airbnb is a stunning outdoor property. The exterior reflects the sweeping natural desert surroundings. The interior features a double bed, a small table, two chairs, and a cabinet that holds a coffee maker. Outside, you’ll find cornhole tables and a bench. Guests can stargaze using a telescope on the outdoor patio. The property also features an outdoor shower. At night, turn on the interior lights and see the property all lit up. Don’t worry about the lack of privacy—it’s so secluded that no one will be around to see you.
Storybook Mt. Lemmon Log Cabin
To best experience Tucson’s Mt. Lemmon, guests can book this log cabin in the mountains. The classic cabin sleeps up to nine, featuring three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The interior is all wood, lending a true outdoorsy feel to the place. It’s also rustic, comfortable, and filled with plenty of comfy beds. Guests can soak up outdoor mountain views on the multiple outdoor balconies.
A ‘Groovy Grotto’ in Scottsdale
We must admit the name of this vacation rental sounds like something Ken from the “Barbie” movie would say: “Groovy Grotto – Pool & Spa – Man Cave.” But, name aside, it’s refreshing to see a vacation rental listing with a more masculine feel to it. Especially one in Scottsdale, which has become a bachelorette party destination. As with most luxury homes in the Phoenix suburb, the outdoor pool is spacious. Located just outside, the backyard garage has been converted into a game room/bar area with gray walls and chairs for a masculine touch. The room, naturally, has a pool table and a big-screen TV to watch the game. When the weather’s nice, open the garage door for an open-air experience. The gray tones are also present throughout the home and can be found in the kitchen chairs, counters, bedroom headboards, shower tiles, and bathtub tiles. The eight-bedroom and five-bathrooms home can fit up to 16 guests.
Sky Suite at Arcosanti
Arcosanti is somewhat of an architectural marvel in the middle of the desert, and you can book a room there to stay overnight. Located in Mayer, Arcosanti is home to a metal foundry and has a couple hundred residents. The light-filled Airbnb features expansive windows that showcase the breathtaking desert scenery. The Sky Suite features a sitting area, a small outdoor nook featuring desert views, a kitchenette, and a dining area. Arcosanti features a large pool that opens seasonally and is also home to an amphitheater where guests can host or watch live shows.
