If you’re looking to switch up the options even more, these eateries deliver. From ice cream to bacon (yep!), here are eight restaurants in Tucson that serve up a variety of creative flights.
Bacon, Bloody Mary, and Mimosa Flights at Oink Café
7131 E. Broadway Blvd. in Tucson
The Oink Café’s slogan is “Breakfast. Lunch. Bacon.” And that slogan really says it all. Guests can look forward to plenty of hearty breakfast entrees like biscuits and gravy and Oink breakfast nachos. They can also order fights of bacon, Bloody Marys, and mimosas to pair with their food. Oink offers eight kinds of bacon including apple cider, chef’s choice, hickory, Applewood smoked, honey cured, jalapeno, pepper, and sugar cured. Guests can order eight, four, or two strips. Oink also serves six variations of Bloody Marys. These range from the classic option garnished with a bacon strip and a bacon salted rim to the Verde Mary, made with a blend of juiced cucumbers, jalapenos, tomatillos, cucumber lime vodka, and garnished with cucumber, tomatillo, and jalapeno. Guests can order four of the options. Mimosa-wise, guests can enjoy four of nine different flavors. These include peach, orange, mango, strawberry, prickly pear, raspberry, and pina colada.
Ice Cream Flights at The Screamery

The Arizona-based ice cream chain The Screamery prides itself on serving homemade ice cream with only natural ingredients. Every scoop starts with hormone-free milk and cream. Customers never know what they’re going to get at this restaurant as menu flavors rotate regularly. The current menu includes vanilla, chocolate, coffee toffee, sweet cream honeycomb, bacon and bourbon, peppermint chip, and raspberry cheesecake. The Screamery has some inventive options like the ice cream nachos, but guests also can order a flight of ice cream. The flight consists of six scoops of ice cream. The menu declares that it’s “perfect for sharing,” but we won’t tell if you have this all to yourself.
Cider Flights at Bawker Bawker Cider House
400 N. 4th Ave. in Tucson
Located in downtown Tucson on the historic 4th Avenue, Bawker Bawker Cider House serves dry ciders that have little or no residual sugar. Most of the ciders are gluten-free, vegan, and free of sulfites. All of the ciders here are also made in small batches. If you don’t want to commit to one full glass of a cider you’ve never tried before, consider ordering a flight of either four or six ciders. Flights consist of five-ounce pours. As of press time, Bawker Bawker lists 22 of its own ciders along with some from other makers on the menu. flavors include passionfruit rose, orange cream, tomato basil, melon mint, and hot tropics, which is a blend of pineapple, jalapeno, and chiltepin. If you’re looking to literally spice things up, this could be your go-to place.
Salsa Flights at Boca Tacos
533 N. 4th Ave. in Tucson
Helmed by one of Tucson’s most celebrated chefs, Maria Mazon, Boca serves award-winning, upscale, made-to-order Mexican cuisine. Tacos are the star of the menu. Customers can order meat, veggie, or seafood tacos. Chips and salsa is a standard side at most Mexican joints, and Boca is no exception. Diners can order a chips and salsa flight as a side. Chips are made fresh to order, and you’ll delight in dipping them in a variety of fresh salsas.
Mead Flights at Short Rest Tavern
4500 N. Oracle Road, #250 in Tucson
Located inside Tucson Games and Gadgets, the Short Rest Tavern is home to more than 600 board games and a variety of alcoholic beverages, including mead. In case you’re not familiar, mead is typically made with honey, water, and yeast and tastes sweet like sweet wine. This is a somewhat uncommon beverage, but you can find bottle meads at the Short Rest Tavern that include four two-ounce pours from one of three brands. As of press time, you can find meads made by Austin-based Meridian Hive and Prescott-based Superstition Meadery.
Coffee Flights at Stacks Book Club
1880 E. Tangerine Road, Ste. 140, in Oro Valley
Stacks Book Club is a bookstore and coffee shop that pours two coffee flights. These feature five eight-ounce iced coffee drinks. The traditional flight includes a nitro cold brew, latte, caramel latte, mocha, and a dirty chai latte. The seasonal coffee flight features a cream and sugar cold brew, a latte, a hazelnut latte, a baklava latte, and a pumpkin spice chai.
Pancake Flights at Snooze, an A.M. Eatery

Breakfast-centric chain Snooze is very well known for its stellar morning fare. Snooze’s pancake menu changes with the seasons and currently includes creative offerings like bread pudding French toast. The restaurant also serves a signature pancake flight if you to sample a few different flavors. This flight includes pineapple upside down, blueberry Danish, and sweet potato pancakes.
Mimosa and Rosé Flights at Prep & Pastry

Celebrated Tucson restaurant Prep & Pastry —notable for its brunch cuisine and pastries—also serves two different flights of its signature mimosas. The Mimosa menu is very diverse. Guests can order prickly pear, fuzzy navel, butterfly, and greyhound mimosas. Diners have the option of having their mimosa with a choice of a traditional bottle of bubbles or rosé. They can then choose three different accompaniments like strawberry honey, grapefruit, and orange juice.
