Next time you can’t decide what to eat in the Valley, I have a suggestion for you: Try out the food court inside H Mart in Mesa.
The stalls in the cafe offer a variety of dishes, from ramen and rice bowls to fried chicken and sandwiches.

If you want something sweet, there’s a Paris Baguette with plentiful pastries and a stall selling shaved ice and soft serve—optionally served in a fish-shaped taiyaki cone.
I ordered kimchi pasta with bulgogi, and it was incredibly creamy and delicious. It was also huge—it cost around $20, but I was OK with it since it turned into three meals for me.
What makes this dining experience even more fun is the option to walk around the rest of H Mart afterward, picking up groceries or choosing a fun dessert to take home. I’d love to go back soon and try some more food.

Have you been to H Mart before?

Arizona, Activated is your regular roundup of ways to get involved in your community. Here’s one event to consider this week:
Food Not Bombs
When: Every Sunday, 5-7:30 p.m.
Where: Civic Space Park, 424 N. Central Ave., Phoenix
Description: “Volunteers help with picking up food donations, cooking nutritious vegan meals, setting up the serving area, and engaging with the community. If cooking isn’t your thing, no worries! You can still help by donating supplies like disposable plates, bowls, containers, utensils, napkins, or ingredients like cooking oil or seasoning.”
