Now that it’s getting warmer, I’m looking forward to the Desert Botanical Garden’s extended summer hours.
The Phoenix garden is now open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. through Sept. 30.

I went the other night around 8 p.m. to enjoy the cooler temperatures. I loved all of the neon lights the garden has up right now, and how quiet and peaceful it was.
I’m hoping to spend some good outdoor time here this summer, when it’s hard to do so during the day.
How do you spend time outdoors in the summer?Let me know!
Last week, the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors voted 4-1 to approve a permit for a $36 billion data center near Surprise.
Dozens of Arizonans spoke out against the endeavor, known as Project Baccara, at the roughly three-hour meeting.

The project’s plan includes two data centers and a natural gas plant. Residents raised concerns about the proximity of these buildings to homes and Luke Air Force Base, and the potential for environmental and financial harm.
You can learn more about Project Baccara in our story from reporters Sahara Sajjadi and Zineb Haddaji, who were at the meeting.
What do you think about plans for this data center moving forward? Let me know!
