When it comes to burgers, Tucson is prepared to offer you the best. Want a classic cheeseburger? Done. Looking for something a bit more gourmet? Check. We asked our loyal readers to help us find the Best Burgers in Tucson and 500+ helped us out. When the votes were cast, we wound up with two clear winners.
Both of these burger joints like a creative challenge, and if you’re wanting a classic burger with a gourmet take, Divine Bovine Burgers and Zinburger will definitely fit the bill.
2. Divine Bovine Burgers
In second place, we have Divine Bovine Burgers. Their claim to fame is uniqueness, and they pride themselves on using fresh ground beef and quality toppings. Their buns are also freshly baked.
This burger joint isn’t the only thing with a cheeky name. Divine Bovine is the name of one of their most popular burgers, but they also enjoy other clever names, such as “I’ll be your huckleberry” and “Guac you know about green chili?”. In short, this establishment knows a thing or two about creativity.
If you want to try the burger that shares a namesake with the restaurant itself, the Divine Bovine is not to be missed. With garlic dill pickles, tomato jam, sherry-buttered onions, white cheddar, bacon, and divine sauce, you’re in for a real treat.
1. Zinburger
Zinburger was voted #1 Best Burger restaurant in Tucson, and it’s easy to see why. Zinburger elevates the traditional burger joint with something a bit finer, more upscale. Why not have an American classic AND an excellent glass of wine?
You can order the sandwich that shares the restaurant’s namesake, the Zinburger (which has onions braised in zinfandel). If you’re feeling a little spicy, check out El Diablo. All burgers are served with french fries, but be sure to switch out regular fries for sweet potato fries. They’re a big hit.
Potatoes not your thing? Don’t worry, you can grab zucchini fries instead. Or you can dress up your regular french fries and transform them into green chili smothered fries. Endless options.
After dinner, if you’re still not full, you can round out the meal with dessert: milkshakes and pie. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with either, but many frequent Zinburger diners recommend the cream pie and the salted caramel milkshake.
What’s better than a classic burger dive? One that pairs burgers with a glass of wine. It’s classic, yet elevated, and it’s clear why Zinburger has been voted Best Burgers in Tucson.
