Gayle Lutz, a Tempe Fry’s grocery worker, is speaking out against Andy Biggs, the Republican nominee for Arizona governor, over the rising cost of groceries.
More than 400,000 Arizonans—including 180,000 children—lost SNAP food assistance after Biggs backed President Donald Trump’s federal budget, which cut SNAP and Medicaid by more than $1 trillion.
Lutz says the cuts have also impacted store revenue and left co-workers struggling.
