If you’re in need of a good laugh, I have the perfect activity for you.
A few weeks ago, I went to see Drunk Shakespeare’s “Romeo & Juliet” show at downtown Phoenix’s Arizona Center.
As you can probably tell by the company’s name, this was not a straightforward play.

The twist is that one of the actors takes five shots of liquor and tries to keep up with the rest of the crew. The show was outrageous and raunchy, and it ended with an improvised scene using input from the crowd.
Audience members are encouraged to join the raucous fun, too—they’re greeted with a welcome shot and encouraged to keep ordering drinks from their seats.
I was really impressed by the talented actors, and I laughed so hard that my face hurt by the time the show was over.
The group has moved on to a show called “Drunk Pirates,” which runs through Sept. 19. As soon as the summer heat’s got me feeling low, I’m heading to this theater to lift my spirits.

On Monday, we talked about the rise in healthcare costs for many Arizonans after Republicans and the Trump administration declined to extend Affordable Care Act subsidies.
I asked for your thoughts and experiences, and here’s what you said:
💬 “United Health Insurance that is my supplement to Medicare went from $235 up to now $527 per month. Why in the world would I pay this large sum for just the 20% of what Medicare does not pay?? Well, just in case I get a very large hospital bill, that is why I have not cancelled my policy. Better I have to pay this outrageous monthly sum then end up in bankruptcy and owe so much money. This is not the US of A I was brought up in. I am 88 years old and cannot change plans at this stage of my life.” — Fran R.
Keep sending in your comments—I’ll post them to the website later today if I get some more!
