These Arizona-focused Instagram accounts will fill your feed with beautiful photography, interesting history, and fun ideas for things to do.

Do you ever find yourself overwhelmed by bad news online? And despite the bad feelings, you continue to scroll through it anyway?

That’s a habit known as doomscrolling, and you’re not alone in it—nearly 1 in 3 US adults who use social media say they doomscroll “a lot” or “some,” with higher numbers for Gen Z adults and millennials.

Many people don’t realize they’re engaging in doomscrolling. App features like endless feeds and constant updates make it difficult for people to turn away from negative news.

Doomscrolling can give people a false sense of control over a situation, and it threatens mental health by making people feel anxious, sad, and angry rather than empowered.

Engaging with social media doesn’t have to be like this, though. One thing that can help discourage doomscrolling is following accounts that share positive, inspiring, and uplifting content.

Here are some Arizona Instagram accounts to follow that may help make your feed a better place for your mental health:

Following Aiesha will have you excited about living in Arizona. She shares videos about things to do and places to see across the state. Recent posts include a video about a holiday car wash, the oldest bar in Scottsdale, and a date night at a Japanese steakhouse.
